IDG2012 fall 2022 (Web Accessibility, Usability and Ethics) – Student Assistants

Department of Design (Gjøvik) needs 2 student assistants in the course “IDG2012 - Web Accessibility, Usability and Ethics”. From the course description, “the students will examine a wide variety of issues related to the accessibility and the usability of Web interfaces. The students will also explore the ethical impact of various Web design techniques.”
Student assistant will be responsible for the labs and will support the students in their assignments and projects. The assistant will have regular meeting and/or communications with the course lecturer to be updated on the course status and to report issues in the labs.
It is an advantage if the student assistant has been through the topic “web accessibility”, and a requirement that the student has provable knowledge related to universal design and accessibility practices. Personal traits like reliable, caring and structured will be appreciated both by students and your colleagues. The assistant must speak English as the teaching and deliveries are in English. It is advantageous that he or she can also speak Norwegian.
Student assistant will be an integral part of the teaching process and will help with the following tasks:
- guiding students during lab sessions
- assisting students during the hands-on exercises
- answering questions on the course forum
The estimated total number of working hours is approximately 40-50 hours per semester. The position is paid NOK 164,36 per hour (or NOK 168,41 with LAOS course) + feriepenger.
