Student assistants IDG1100 Web Fundamentals

The department of Design is looking for 2 student assistants for the course IDG1100 Web Fundamentals (BWU — Bachelor in Web Development, Fall semester 2021).

The topics discussed in IDG11 Web Fundamentals are: networking, operating systems, Web infrastructure, remote systems.

The main tasks of the student assistants are

  • creating useful and stimulating lab exercises,
  • helping students during the laboratory sessions,
  • facilitating communications via the course forum,
  • grading exercises,
  • and, in general, supporting the course coordinator with the day-to-day activities.

The applicants must have a good knowledge of how the Internet and the Web work, as well as experience in the administration of Linux systems (including Raspberry Pis) and using UNIX tools such as bash, awk, grep.

Ability to speak Norwegian and English is required.

The estimated total number of working hours per student per term is approximately 60.

The position is paid NOK 160,10 per hour (or NOK 164,10 with LAOS course) + feriepenger.
